The CFMEU presents this list of selected 457 visa/guest worker abuses and rip-offs from the construction and contracting industries.

It is not a complete list. In fact, it is only the tip of the iceberg. The vast majority of cases go unreported by workers who can’t afford to lose their jobs. Most workers come from poor countries and many are still paying off agents who arranged their visas.

Mine owner to Boggabri locals: we don’t need you
